Known as the land of fire and ice, Iceland is a stunning landscape full of contrasts. It’s home to some of the largest glaciers in Europe, several geothermal areas, and dozens of breathtaking waterfalls. It’s a perfect country to road trip, hike, and sightsee. Below, I’ve included my personal 1 week itinerary to see the highlights of the country as well as my tips & recommendations for visiting. This Itinerary explores the southern half of Iceland, going from Reykjavik to Egilsstaðir.
